Negative numbers can be displayed in different formats, such as with a minus sign, in parentheses, or in red. Follow these simple steps to customize how negative numbers appear in your Spreadsheets.
Step 1: Select the Range
Highlight the cells that contain negative numbers, then open the Home menu.
Step 2: Open the Format Tab
Tap the Format option from the list.
Step 3: Choose Number Formatting
Tap Number Formatting, then select Number from the list of formatting options.
Step 4: Select a Negative Number Style
Choose from the available formatting styles to display negative numbers in parentheses, in red, or with a minus sign.
Step 5: Apply Changes
Simply tap the X to exit the Number Formatting menu and confirm the changes. Your negative numbers will now be displayed in the selected format.
If you need to revert or change the format later, simply repeat these steps.
