What's New in MobiPDF (Windows)

Release version 11.40

  • App startup improvements: improved the startup time of MobiPDF.
  • Advanced Electronic Signatures (PAdES standard): MobiPDF signatures are now fully EU-compliant and recognized as valid by official European Union validators. Try it here or here.
  • Edit and copy/paste right-to-left text: support for editing and copying right-to-left text.
  • Insert pages from multiple files: insert pages from multiple files instead of one by one.
  • Paste or drag files from Explorer to a PDF file: insert images or other PDFs by dragging or pasting them into your document or pages panel.
  • Automatically generate hyperlinks: auto-detect and generate clickable links from Web addresses.
  • Default app banderole: a banderole providing quick access to default app settings.
  • Direct link to manage devices: a direct link to account devices for users who are over their device limit.

  • Multiselect: Move, resize or delete multiple objects at the same time.
  • Save to local folder: Always show the default Windows dialog when saving, remember the last used save folder even across files and sessions.
  • Sign-in again prompt: A prompt asking users to sign in again when we’re forced to reauthenticate them by Google/Apple/Facebook.
  • Windows native sharing: Share files using any compatible app installed on your device (e.g., MobiMail, Outlook, Teams, Slack, WhatsApp, etc.) via the standard Windows Share menu.
  • New document password tooltip: A new tooltip explaining that password protected file requires the file’s password and not your account password.
  • Remove our update notification: Removed the monthly notification that informed users that our apps have been updated.

  • Redact PDF: permanently redact sensitive info from a document.
  • Edit objects combining text and style (XObjects): WordArt, graphics, watermarks, stylized text.
  • Preselected format when choosing the default app: automatically preselects PDF/DOCX/XLSX/PPTX without needing to search into Windows settings.
  • Pin to start menu: automatically pin MobiPDF to the Windows start menu after installation.

  • Editing password prompt: clicking on restricted tools now prompts for the editing password.
  • Renamed page tools: some page tools were renamed to clarify they only affect pages and not the entire document.

  • Copy and paste text objects: retain all text and its formatting when you copy and paste text objects.
  • Create digital signing ID: generate a self-signed certificate that you can use for digital signatures.
  • Reopen files with previous view settings: reopen the file on your last used page, zoom and layout.
  • Page-size indicator: see the page size and paper size in an UI indicator.
  • New page layout shortcut: change page layouts from the Home ribbon tab.
  • UI text changes: make it clear that flattening and digital signatures make some objects uneditable.
  • Move objects with keyboard shortcuts: move all objects with Arrows + SHIFT for 100% precision.
  • Reuse password when combining: enter the password only once to unlock all password protected files in a combine job.
